Dear Friend,
I’m Mary Margaret White, Chief Executive Officer of Mississippi Today.
I’m writing to introduce myself and tell you more about who we are as a newsroom.
I’m a lifelong Mississippian, and I love this state we call home. Throughout my career, I’ve spent time in each of Mississippi’s 82 counties. The people here are passionate, kind and courageous.
At Mississippi Today, we have a mission to build a better Mississippi by providing news and resources centered on lived experiences of folks like you. Our journalists wake up everyday to be on the scene and in the spaces where you can’t be. We report on politics and policy but we also deliver news on education, justice, jobs and health. And, we do it in a way that ensures the reality of everyday Mississippians is represented in the decisions of our state’s leaders.
