I’m Angela, El Paso Matters’ Audience Development Leader, which means I work with reporters to bring important stories about El Paso to you. Thanks for signing up for our weekly newsletter! I’m here to bring you up to speed on who we are and why we dig deeper on stories that matter.
El Paso Matters is the only nonprofit, nonpartisan news organization in El Paso. We were founded in 2019, and began publishing in 2020, with a mission to empower El Pasoans with crucial information about education, immigration, government, the environment, women and border issues affecting our region.
We know how important it is to provide strong, independent journalism to all El Pasoans to help them understand and solve complex issues, and hold our leaders accountable. With each story, we’re working with you, our neighbors, to take control of our narrative and show the world what El Paso is really about. And best of all, we do not have a paywall!
